Judith Ruskay Rabinor, PhD

Judith Ruskay Rabinor, Ph.D., is the Director of The American Eating Disorders Center of Long Island, a Consultant to the Renfrew Center Foundation, an Associate Professor at the Derner Institute, Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, and a visiting professor at Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus. She received her Doctorate from Fordham University, New York, and has a private practice in Manhattan and in Lido Beach, New York.

Dr. Rabinor is editor of "The Therapist's Voice" column in Eating Disorders: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention and the Eating Disorder Council of Long Island newsletter. She has written for various professional publications and has contributed chapters to several texts on eating disorders and body image.

She lectures extensively, conducts workshops and training seminars, and speaks at many professional conferences coast-to-coast. A popular media guest, Dr. Rabinor has been interviewed frequently for newspapers, magazines, and radio stations, and has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and on Sally Jessy Raphael. For three years, she hosted a one-hour weekly radio show called "The Hungry I."
